Shipping Policy

Total Delivery Time: Before your order is shipped, Cottage Chest processes it and subjects all items to strict quality control tests.


Total Delivery Time is different from shipping time alone and is calculated as Handling Time + Shipping Time.

  • Handling Time: 1-2 Business Days
  • Shipping Time: 5-10 Business Days 
  • If your order contains multiple boxes, they will be shipped separately.

Shipping Costs & Tax:

  • Free Standard Shipping on all items.
  • California state sales tax rate: 7.25%, including a base rate of 6% and a mandatory local rate of 1.25%. No sales tax on deliveries outside California.

Shipping Locations:

  • Valid for shipping addresses in the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
  • We do not deliver to FPO, APO, and PO Box addresses.

Shipping Methods:

  • All orders are shipped via UPS or FedEx.

Shipping and Delivery Estimates:

  • In-stock orders ship as soon as possible, usually on the same or next business day.
  • Delivery estimates: 6 to 8 days, depending on the destination and shipping carrier.
  • Force majeure may cause delays; however, we ensure fast processing when weather permits.

Damage Claims:

  • We take every precaution to ensure products are not damaged. If the item is damaged in transit do not accept it and contact us at service@cottagechest.com within 24 hours of receiving the shipment.

Orders Tracking:

  • You will receive at least 2 emails for each order: Order Acknowledgement and Shipment Confirmation.
  • Track your items on the carrier's official website. Visit our online Order Status or Track Your Order page for detailed tracking steps.

Important Notes:

  • Verify the correct shipping address before payment.
  • Ensure the correct email address for order and shipping confirmations.
  • We are not responsible for return shipping costs if the product didn't meet expectations or if the wrong order was placed after shipment.
  • Items under 150lbs dispatched by UPS/FedEx; items over 150lbs delivered by truck.

  1. How long does it take to ship my package?

    • Delivery time is determined by the product and delivery area.  We aim to deliver items as soon as possible and will notify you by email.

  2. What's the status of my order and delivery?

    • Once shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Track your package using the provided code on the carrier's website or in your account.

  3. Can I change the address on my order?

    • Contact us before shipment; once shipped, contact the carrier for address changes with an address correction fee.
